Torrential rains have poured over Southern Guizhou province where the Bouyei live. 36 have been killed across the province and many have been evacuated in the capital city of Guiyang. In the Bouyei heartland, one county had 58 houses destroyed, a highway washed out, and blackouts affecting 26,000 homes.
