Prayer
Mekong believes prayer is the foundation of our relationship with Christ, upon which all mission is built. Prayer is therefore central to Mekong for without Him, we can do nothing. It is the mission of Mekong Springboard to mobilize Global Prayer Movements for unreached people groups of the Mekong field.

Global
Over 300 million believers live in our world today. We believe all are called of God to intercede for the nations.
Movements
We believe that God is calling His whole church to intercede. There is a movement of intercession that is sweeping the church today. If each of the 300 million Christians alive today prayed for 1 unreached people group and if they were evenly spread in proportion to the population of each people group, then there would be thousands and thousands praying for every people group. For example: the Hmong people (8.1 million) represent 0.135% of the 6 billion people on planet earth. If 0.135% of all Christians prayed for the Hmong there would be 405,000 believers interceding for the Hmong people group! In view of this arithmetic it is a matter of small faith to expect that God will call tens of thousands of people to intercede for each unreached people group in the Mekong focus. In Mekong, intercessory prayer must be the lifestyle of all. It is not something we recruit others to do for us but rather with us. We entreat you to join us in praying for the nations.
 
Teams of Thousands
It is our belief that as teams of intercessors are mobilized, the full potential for a church planting movement can be reached. Therefore we will mobilize a prayer movement for each unreached people group that Mekong targets. It is our goal to mobilize the thousands of intercessors we believe God is raising up as the spearhead of each team.

Prayer Movement Strategy
The strategy for Global Prayer Movements is: rapid multiplication of intercessors who will reproduce as soon as they have been recruited.

Exponential Growth
It will take exponential growth to mobilize the church in a short period of time. It is therefore essential that each person recruited be taught to reproduce new intercessors who will in turn reproduce more intercessors. In this way teams of tens of thousands of intercessors could be formed in one year.

Personnel and Resources
Mekong appoints people to the task of mobilizing prayer movements. It is considered a primary ministry not an appendage to other work. Mekong plans special events & resources to help move the global church forward in focused intercession for the peoples of the Mekong.
